The Lookout Room

Completely panelled in oak tongue and groove, this room served as a refuge for the keeper during his watch. A bed was installed between the curved outer wall of the lighthouse and a wooden partition. A system of reflectors enabled the keeper to check that the light was working properly through the lantern window from his bed.
