As part of the Heritage Days, the Departmental Archives of the Gironde organised, on 15 September, a round-table discussion on Cordouan, at the initiative of the Association. Around fifty listeners attended with great interest high-quality presentations, a brief summary of which is given here. All came away convinced that Cordouan has an “Outstanding Universal Value”, the criterion retained by the UNESCO inscription procedure…

After much discussion, the transfer of the Grave Lighthouse to the Conservatoire du Littoral et des Rivages Lacustres has finally been approved. At the same time, the Association was entrusted with the management of the site. Without further delay, the Conservatoire launched a consultation with a view to undertaking the studies necessary for the transformation of the site and the museum, which will henceforth occupy the entire surface of the buildings…
